Electric Vehicles

the project
A suite of TAFE NSW Microskills introducing the essential skills needed as the public transport sector transitions to electric vehicles. Designed for drivers, operators, supervisors, maintenance staff, salvage providers, and emergency services, the training aligns with Nationally Recognised Skill Sets and Units of Competency. Developed in partnership with Australian electric bus providers, the program prepares the workforce for EV adoption and future developments in heavy vehicles, mobile plant, and construction equipment.
My role
I designed and developed the initial suite of five Microskills focused on electric buses, and later contributed to additional Microskills on hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles, and emergency response for electric vehicle incidents for the Australian and New Zealand Council for fire and emergency services (AFAC).

My role involved interpreting and simplifying complex technical concepts into clear, accessible learning, and creating engaging Articulate Storyline interactions to support understanding and application. I created templates for industry experts to provide content details and worked closely with various stakeholders, including industry, government, subject matter experts (SMEs), other learning designers and project managers.

Key Skills: Complex content simplification · Articulate Storyline development · Microskill design · Industry collaboration
